The Phonak Product Portfolio contains flexible tinnitus solutions that can be incorporated into different tinnitus management philosophies.
The flexibility of the Phonak Product Portfolio means that you can individualize a tinnitus solution for each of your tinnitus patients based on their hearing needs, severity of the tinnitus and lifestyle.
Tinnitus is often referred to as a “phantom perception of sound”. It is considered one of the most common and distressing otologic problems patients face. Approximately 10 to 15% of the population experience tinnitus, 3% actively search for a solution.1
There is a strong correlation between hearing loss and tinnitus. Studies show that 80 % of tinnitus patients also have a hearing loss.2 Every Phonak digital hearing aid provides amplification, and most includes a noise generator making them a flexible solution for tinnitus. Most devices also include wireless functionality which enables the option of streamed sound.
Phonak Lyric hearing aid is unique in that it is worn 24 hours a day, providing continuous relief even while you sleep.3 Lyric hearing aids works by providing consistent amplification of sounds day and night so the ears always have additional sounds to focus on making the sound of your tinnitus less noticeable. Lyric is ideally suited for those looking for a discreet or invisible solution, and not in need of a noise generator or streaming capabilities.

Tinnitus is subjective and affects individuals very differently
For some people, it is a minor annoyance that does not require help or treatment. For others, it can have an enormous influence on the quality of their life, for example:
For the majority of tinnitus patients sound therapy offers significant relief from the negative impacts of tinnitus. Sound therapy can consist of a combination of environmental sounds, music, broadband sounds or amplified sounds (i.e. hearing aid amplification). Tinnitus management is most effective when sound therapy is combined with counseling.
